Survey project reflection~~

 

We have done a survey project about the Perception of the Japanese people towards Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance Regarding the Healthy Development of Yout hs(東京都青少年の健全な育成). And i have learnt that the research method also know some of the Japanese attitude towards the policy.

After the project, I think we need to redesign the questionnaire, and extend the topic. If we have enough time, we might focus on the result of teenager. The questionnaire isn’t really user friendly. There even have an advice from the interviewee; he said that most of the Japanese didn’t understand this policy very much , so we need to attach some background information about the policy.

In the result, we found that it is total different from our expectation. Of course, they are not really known about it, but also do not think that animation can have a large power to affect Japan economy and the Manga industry. However, there also some similar expectation to the result, almost 90%of interviewee disagree this issues.

As I mentioned above, the design of the survey should be corrected and our group time management can be improve.

To make the project more interesting, I suggest making a video and a broadcasting drama to emphases the topic. I believe that it will be attractive .

In the second day of the presentation, there are three groups with different categories. And their topic are very interesting.

The first group is about the marriage.

- the voicevolume is too soft , difficult to hear

- It is very fascinating to know that some japanese will choose non japanese because of they are rich.

The second group is about the japanese real life. I think it is a topic that our classmate would like to know the result, because it is quite important if the student really like to understand and study Japanese cultural.

- The PowerPoint is very cute and clear .

- the design of the question are great but the order of the survey can be improve.

- it can extend more if time is available.

The last group is about the Japanese travel hobbies, I think they have a detail presentation. It is a good question that why the Japanese would like to have a oversea trip than travel japan. However, it seems that the perpetration isn’t enough , the overall performance is ok!   

The thing i have learn in the presentation1~

The first day of the survey project presentation, there are three groups.Except the third group, first and second group 's topic also around the ACG world.It is obvious that there are a group of animate lovers in our class.
 Group 1:
    It will be better if the corporation between the group mate can improve.
 A quite interesting presentation, the part of a analyze their expectation and result have done a good work. I was wondering that difference between the expectation and reality.

  In the second  presentation, the topic is about Perception of the Japanese people towards Tokyo Metropolitan Ordinance Regarding the Healthy Development of Youths(東京都青少年の健全な育成).

Actually, i don't really know how the classmates think about our presentation. But, i still learn something about how complex the policy is. And we learn how to set an effective questionnaire. The policy is a hot issue for the ACG lovers, but not all the Japanese.

The survey result shows that most of them didn’t know it very much; therefore we should attach some background information for reference, and make sure they understand the situation.

Group3:

  It is well- prepared, and the topic is quite special

  It is not so clear in showing the compare of the survey result,I am a bit confuse in that section.

Others example:

We can see a lot of personal pronoun in japanese but not chinese or english.In the above example pictures,there are some main pronoun that we always heard of it.Just like 私、あたし、俺、僕......
    Actually, in the japanese text book female usually use "Watashi" and male will use "watashi "or "boku",It is because those are more polite. However, in our daily life especially in comics、the use of personal pronoun will depends on the age and characters(also the image).Ore is use for the strong boy which is full of confident and boku is use for the boy who is more supportive , tender, also boku can be use for the young boy.(年下）"washi" is use for the man or the elderly ."watashi" will normally use for business man, speech or some public performance.

   In the girl's side, "atashiあたし " often use for the young girl, especially the secondary school. it can also use for the girl who is cute . (女子高校生,かわいい系）”わたくし”and "watashi私" are the same, but わたくし is use for the girl who is rich,polite or someone who comes from a good family(お嬢さん)


Actually, there are some special cases. For the boy, we may see a word "俺様”(oresama), it is same as (ore) but ruder than it.It is the pronoun which use for the boy who is full of confident but self loved.
     "われ”is the words which will use in a serious way and is same as わたくし.The hannji is
我 or吾 . Also, it can use in the ancient writings.
　Overall, the following are my opinion and summary :
1.watashi is the common personal pronoun to present "i" between men and women

2.boku is for young boy who has a weak characters, ore is the stronger one 


3.oresama is not the common personal pronoun, and it is a little bit rude.


4. the way of using personal pronoun is depends on age and characters.


Of course, there are a lot of personal pronoun that i haven't mentioned, for example:
1.拙者（せっしゃ）
２．わい
３．自分（じぶん）
The last thing i would like to talk about is special use in women personal pronouns.　In the comics, you may see some women will use the man personal pronouns, it  also depends on their character.
I would like to use atashi because i think it is  cute and more casual than "watashi".

昨日星君とレイカさんと一緒にCW（COMIC　WORLD）へ行きました、本当に楽しかった、付き合ってくれてありがとう＞ｗ＜
　　もちろん、一番ほしいの同人誌も買った（あれはボカロ神曲其の一のIMITATION　BLACKの絵師はるあきさんの初同人誌です！本当にうれしい～）

　それに、いろいろなコースプレイを見た！７－１１で飲み物を買った際に、あたし大好きのうp主（ひとしずくP）の新曲ーーからくり卍ばーすと のリンさんを見つけた！！すごく興奮した！！マジで生りん！！だから、この歌を紹介するつもりだ！！

Japanese geography project~

i have been to japan twice and the most impressive one is the trip to kyoto and wakayama.

      In my memory, we only went to one travel site in wakayama, it is the wakayama castle . It is a historical building which is famous with other two castle, they are himeji castle and matuyama castle.Of course himeji castle is the most popular but wakayama castle also have its own glamor.

Please image that if it is a midnight with a bright moon and the
Sakura is just bloom, what a beautiful scene!




   We also went to the Kyoto famous temple,Otowa-san Kiyomizu-dera.(音羽山清水寺）It is very lucky that it is a snowy day, I think that the landscape of Kyoto will be very different in four seasons. Although I have only seen the snow scene, I would also like to see it in spring and autumn. I believe that the Sakura in spring and the maple in autumn must be pretty.
 moreover , i was wonder that there are many Kiyomizu-dera in japan!

we have also watch a kimono fashion show, it shows many types of kimono for different ages famale.Kimono and the model are wonderful! I think the japanese traditional dressing are very complex(especiallythe sash which is called obi) but beautiful~


I felt excited to wear the Yukata in the hot spring hotel. It is fantastic, and we have eaten a giant crab together.

At last we went to the osaka universal studio theme park, it is a good places to take a lot photos.And the games are quite fun.I think the japanese theme park can easy to make some kinds of atmosphere, it is amazing.

if i have earn more money, i would like to travel japan again, because there are many discovery are waiting for me~(i hope i can go to visit hokaidou , akibahara and ikebukuro in the next time>.<)

Japanese writing project1

Most of the time , we can find many ways of using katakana in the comics.Here are some example.

Loan words:
ページ、スタート
"ページ and スタート are the words loeaned from english words"page and start". I think it is very easy to find japanese use english to replace . For example, お仕事スタートcan be use お仕事始めます to express the idea but why they still use "start" to replace? I think it is because english word is more shorter and is very cool to use english other than janpanese.

emphasized words:
 "ウチら”, " アンタ”
     Actually, in these example we can use hinagana to write in the normal situation . However,the comic would like to emphasize the feeling expression of the character, so it write as a katakana.

onomatopoeia:
"ドン”、"パチパチ”
   The comic also shows a lot of onomatopoeia.ドンis the sound of knocking and パチパチ means the sounds of typing.If we use katakana  to  describe onomatopoeia, it can  bring  some movement and increase the atmosphere.


names of foreigners and foreign places:

almost of the english name and countries are written by katakana.
e.g.ニコル（NICOLE)、初音ミク、ドイツ

we still have lots of way to use katakana, but i think those four reasons i mentoned above is the most important .
Kaomonji:
Every countries have different ways to express their feeling in internet or writing. And i think kaomonji is the most popular way in japan internet. In the web page"niconico douga", some internet artist would like to use the only one kaomonji to represent themselve. i can say that kaomonji is one of the japanese culture which hong kong teenager would like to imitate because they think it is so cool ,just like why japanese teenager love using english.
